Good morning!
It's been a couple of weeks since I landed in your inbox, and there are now almost 1,500 of you here. ๐คฏ If you're new, welcome!
Three weeks into doing Travel Keeper full time, here's the unglamorous part.
Starting a business is a thousand tiny things:
- Terms and conditions
- Privacy policies
- Links that need to go to the right place
- Automations that need to fire at the right time.
And then something breaks at 10pm and you're the only one who can fix it. Luckily I'm pretty tech savvy, so most of the time I can figure it out fast.
For someone who plans every trip down to the socks, I walked away from my biggest client without much of a plan. I'm hustling harder than I ever have. I'm also the happiest I've ever been, because every hour now goes into something that's mine. And yes, I'm still in the wobble some days. The "wait, did I make a mistake?" phase. ๐
And then my phone buzzes.
Every time someone signs up for Travel Keeper Pro or books a 1:1 consult, I get a text from Stripe, and I get excited every single time.
This month I had FOUR 1:1 consults, which means September is officially booked. If you've been thinking about one, I'm booking into October now.
The trip inquiries have been so fun too. Disney cruises are my favorite thing to book, but I also just had my first custom trip planning client: a family using points to head to Florida next spring who didn't have the time to research the hotels, flights, and things to do. So they handed off all the research to me.
If spring break 2027 is on your list, now is the time to start planning. Summer 2027 too. The best flights, rooms, and cruise cabins for school-break weeks go first.
๐ All the ways to work with me are hereโ
Now, my big idea.
A women's trip, for the ones who plan everyone else's trips. (Is this my mid-life crisis? Possibly. ๐คช)
Italy in spring 2028, Rome and Tuscany, with a small group, and I'll be traveling with you. I'll handle all of it. You just show up. I'm thinking April or May, after spring break but before school lets out, so your kids stay on their normal routine at home while you're gone.
One or two fun things a day, and you're welcome to skip them and stay back. Happy hour where nobody is expected to make small talk. Bring a book, scroll your phone, no judgment. And everyone's in bed by 9pm.
๐โโ๏ธ If that sounds like your kind of trip, hit reply and tell me what you'd love. Stay tuned for more details.
Talk soon,
Megan
